Do you remember

when we used to do things

just for fun?

We had more time than money

and never worried

how we spent it

Pick up games of kickball,

Frisbee and hula-hoop

There were never any winners or losers

We played until the dinner bell rang

or the sun went down

You and me

Would decide

Let’s do something

Just for fun

We didn’t care what anyone thought.

No adult supervision

no outside advice

Things didn’t have to make sense

or have a purpose

much beyond keeping us entertained

for an hour

or an afternoon.

I have a friend who still reminds me of that.

She calls every once in a while and says:

Lets make something together

Just for Fun

She helped me build a giant house

When all I had was half an idea

and some discarded boxes

Tyree called right after the New Year

and said: I have an idea.

An opportunity to have a show

And we should do it

Just for Fun

And we will.

It’s opening March 28th at the A-Space at New Hope Arts in New Hope, PA.

It will run all of April

A month of fun.

I can’t tell you what’s going to happen (just yet)

But I will keep you posted with the details as it comes together

Like any good idea — things are still cooking under the hood.

But I can tell you this: There will be some BIG things in store.
