Each of the sculptures in this group were inspired by my wish to travel and explore new areas of my art.
Each sculpture has it’s own personality. It is up to the viewer to decide what that personality represents.
Kitties always seem to appear in my clay, even from the very beginning. They are some of the most independent animals I’ve ever known.
They sort of remind me of me.
My sculptures do not represent any person in particular, but each of the ones in this group have been inspired by someone I’ve known.
Though my sculptures are not representative of anyone in particular, these kids have all been inspired by some that I've known.
Each sculpture is inspired by my relationship with the kiln. Unglazed clay will react differently each time it is fired, the higher the temperature the more dramatic the reaction. I consider each a collaboration with the kiln.

Birds of a Feather
With my most recent sculptures I have been exploring whole figures as well as different glazing techniques, including the use of engobes and screen printing.
